Up to 70 companies and organisations* from the Ostwestfalen-Lippe (OWL) region will be represented at the ConnectOWL 2023 careers fair. The exhibitors range from global players to small and medium-sized enterprises and emerging start-ups, and operate in a wide variety of sectors. The aim of the career fair is to provide HSBI students and other interested parties with an introduction to the local job market.

During the event, you will have the opportunity to get in touch directly with representatives of participating companies and organisations. You can get a first-hand insight into the work processes and find out directly about possible entry options. The participating companies and organisations offer internships, working student positions, student research projects, entry-level positions and much more.

What can I expect at ConnectOWL 2023?

The focus of the event is the career fair, where you will have the opportunity to get in touch with the participating companies and organisations at the exhibition stands from 11:00 to 16:00.

In addition, other events will take place as part of the career fair. Two major regional companies and a regional social institution will give impulse lectures on current professional and technical topics. The impulse lectures offer students and interested parties an overview of career and development opportunities in the respective companies. At the Career Speed Dating, students will have the chance to discuss possible entry-level positions with representatives of the participating companies during a total of six job interviews and get-to-know-you meetings. The fair will be rounded off with a Career Talk, where students can gain an interesting insight into the personal career of an employee at a local company.

Are there any other offers at ConnectOWL 2023?

We want students to stay in contact with the companies and organisations beyond the career fair. To this end, the exhibitors have great additional offers for which those interested can register directly with the company on the day of the fair. Simply come and talk to the employees and find out about registering for the respective offer. Further information on the additional offers can be found in the careers fair booklet.

Who is organising the event?

The ConnectOWL 2023 career fair is organised by the International Office of HSBI and takes place as part of the StayInOWL project. If you have any questions, suggestions, etc., please write to the organisation team at: connectowl@hsbi.de
