Der vorliegende Beitrag nimmt dieses Phänomen aus einer qualitativ-empirischen Perspektive anhand eines konkreten Ansatzes in den Blick und rekonstruiert auf Basis von Einzelinterviews und Gruppendiskussionen mit Peer-Unterstützer*innen das Verhältnis zu Fachkräften der Sozialen Arbeit. Im Zuge des iterativ-zirkulären Forschungsprozesses konnte ein ambivalentes Verhältnis einer Minimierung von Grenzen zwischen den beiden Akteur*innengruppen auf der einen Seite und unterschiedlichen Formen der Grenzziehung auf der anderen Seite identifiziert werden. Einem Verständnis als gemeinsame Unterstützer*innengruppe stehen Praktiken der Profilierung der jeweiligen Gruppe gegenüber – beispielsweise im Sinne einer unterschiedlichen Anerkennung von Wissensbeständen, einer Legitimierung der eigenen Funktion innerhalb der Organisation oder durch wahrgenommene Konkurrenzverhältnisse zwischen Peer-Unterstützer*innen und Fachkräften. Aus theoretischer Perspektive von Multiprofessionalität und dem Verhältnis von Ehrenamt und Sozialer Arbeit kann das aufgefundene Spektrum als Ausdruck eines Spannungsfeldes zwischen der Herstellung von Differenz und Profilierung der eigenen, spezifischen Wissensbasis („boundary work“) auf der einen Seite und dem Bestreben nach Zugehörigkeit und einem gemeinsamen Teamverständnis zwischen den beiden Akteur*innengruppen auf der anderen Seite betrachtet werden. Dabei zeigen sich Machtdynamiken, die durch die Spezifik von Peer-Unterstützung und einer ehrenamtlichen Ausgestaltung verstärkt werden.","lang":"ger"},{"text":"Peer support approaches often involve collaboration between individuals offering peer support and professionals who are not personally affected, whereby various perspectives and levels of knowledge are encountered and must be resolved to provide practical support. In this article, this interplay is examined using a qualitative–empirical perspective based on a concrete approach and reconstructs their relationship with social work professionals based on individual interviews and group discussions with peer supporters. From the iterative research process, an ambivalent relationship was identified between the two groups regarding the drawing of boundaries. A relationship as a shared support group is contrasted by the practices that highlight their different roles, e.g., differences in types of knowledge, the legitimization of one’s own role within the organization, and how competition between peer supporters and professionals is perceived. From the theoretical perspective of multiprofessionalism and the relationship between volunteer work and social work, this can be understood, on the one hand, as an expression of the complex interplay between their differences and their own knowledge base (boundary work), and, on the other hand, the striving for belonging and a shared understanding of teamwork between the two groups. Health literacy is essential for treatment success. To improve knowledge about the biopsychosocial factors influencing FAP and support its management, we developed an educational multimedia website (https://meine-bauchstelle.com).\r\nMethods: In a multicenter randomised controlled trial (RCT), patients with FAP (N = 166, age 5–17 years, M = 10.8, SD = 3.31; 53.6% female) and their parents were randomly assigned to an intervention group (IG: access to the website before the first measurement) or a control group (CG: no access to the website during data collection). The primary outcome was health literacy (knowledge and health behaviour) and secondary outcomes were abdominal pain symptoms and the physician-patient/parent interactions. Group differences were analysed using t-tests and multilevel models.\r\nResults: Patients in the IG who visited the website demonstrated significantly higher initial knowledge scores compared to the CG. Moreover, they reported significantly less pain-related disability across three assessments over 3 months. Parents who visited the website rated the physician-parent interaction significantly more positively than those in the CG.\r\nConclusions: The educational website efficiently increased patient knowledge about FAP and improved certain pain-related behaviours. It serves as an effective tool in conveying information about FAP in clinical practice. Future applications could extend to preventive measures in schools and other settings.\r\nSignificance Statement: The educational website about functional abdominal pain is effective in transferring knowledge, reducing pain-related disability, and improving physician-parent interactions. However, evidence on long-term maintenance of effects in routine outpatient care is still limited, particularly across diagnostic groups. This study examines the long-term, cross-diagnostic effectiveness of CBT in children and adolescents treated under routine outpatient care conditions.\r\n                  <br />\r\n                    Methods - \r\n                    Analyses are based on pre-existing routine outcome monitoring data from 1225 patients (mean age = 14.00 years, SD = 3.24) receiving CBT, collected between 2017 and 2025. Symptoms were assessed using the parent- and patient-reported Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) at pre-treatment, post-treatment and at 6-, 12- and 24-month follow-ups. Additional self-rated treatment-success ratings were collected at follow-up (covering expectations fulfilled, perceived helpfulness, problem recurrence and perceived change). Effectiveness was described using group means as well as clinical significance. Pre- to post- and pre- to follow-up changes were analysed using paired Wilcoxon signed-rank tests. Associations between follow-up SDQ scores and self-rated treatment success were examined using partial Spearman correlations controlling for baseline SDQ.\r\n                  <br />\r\n                    Results - \r\n                    \r\n                      Across both parent- and patient-reported SDQ assessments, total difficulties and problem subscales showed significant improvements from pre- to post-treatment and from pre-treatment to all follow-up time points. Effect sizes were consistently moderate-to-large\r\n                      (\r\n                      r_rb = 0.59–0.77), with sustained effects up to 24 months. Higher follow-up SDQ difficulties were associated with lower self-rated treatment success across multiple follow-up ratings, with strongest associations observed for problem recurrence and change compared to before treatment. Sensitivity analyses restricted to participants in the clinical range at baseline (SDQ ≥ 17) yielded consistent results.\r\n                    \r\n                  <br />\r\n                    Conclusions - \r\n                    Routine outpatient CBT for children and adolescents was associated with meaningful symptom improvements that persisted up to two years after treatment. Clinically significant change analyses indicated that while many patients showed reliable improvement, a substantial proportion remained classified as unchanged according to conservative criteria.
