text: Edge-based Artificial Intelligence (AI) acceleration has recently improved
progress in real-time object detection. Object detection on edge devices requires
a balance between accuracy, speed, and power efficiency. This paper proposes a
customized Deep Learning Processor Unit (DPU)-aware architecture for attention-based
YOLO variants deployed on AMD FPGAs. Specifically, we evaluate and benchmark YOLOv26
and YOLOv11, two modern attention-based YOLO variants, on the Xilinx ZCU104 across
both standard and oriented object detection tasks. We replace unsupported activation
functions, substitute split operations with 1x1 convolutions, and approximate
the spatial attention mechanism in a DPU-compatible way. All models are then trained
and evaluated across six benchmark datasets such as COCO, Pascal VOC, KITTI, DOTA,
DIOR-R, and an in-house human presence dataset, and benchmarked across all eight
DPU configurations (B512 to B4096) in terms of mAP, FPS, latency, power, and resource
utilization. Notably, YOLOv26n and YOLOv26n-OBB deliver the highest end-to-end
throughput at 34.05 and 29.55 FPS for standard and oriented detection, respectively,
with an average of 5% absolute reduction in accuracy due to quantization while
achieving up to approximately 3x lower power consumption compared with the state
of the art.

text: This paper presents a hybrid control architecture for dynamic robotic picking
tasks. The framework combines a Deep Reinforcement Learning policy for high-level
interception with a dedicated Inverse Kinematics controller for precise terminal
grasping, while mitigating precision limitations of monolithic learning-based
approaches. The framework utilizes a Proximal Policy Optimization agent to approach
moving targets, seamlessly transitioning to an Inverse Kinematics solver that
reduces terminal orientational and positional errors while minimizing cumulative
control effort. To facilitate deployment on physical hardware, a robust sim-to-real
pipeline incorporating system identification, domain randomization, and latency
injection is employed. Experimental results on a physical Franka Emika Panda manipulator
validate this hybrid architecture. The system achieves an 80% success rate in
pick-and-place tasks, compared to 60.8% for unadapted baselines, with no safety-critical
violations such as joint limit breaches or collisions observed during testing.

text: Deep reinforcement learning (RL) policies for robotic control typically overfit
to a single hardware configuration. Any change to the kinematic chain breaks the
learned mapping and requires complete retraining. This paper investigates whether
combining self-attention mechanisms with explicit spatial observations can improve
a policy’s adaptability to varying kinematic topologies. We train a single RL
agent to control a robotic manipulator across different degrees of freedom (DOF),
ranging from a restricted 4-DOF mode to a fully redundant 7-DOF configuration.
Instead of fixed-length state vectors, the method processes the active joints
as a variable-length sequence in an attention buffer, enriching each joint’s representation
with its relative spatial routing and geometric Jacobian influence. This structure
allows the agent to dynamically evaluate the physical utility of its available
actuators. The proposed Architecture reaches a success rate of 82.1% across trained
topologies and 66.6% on unseen configurations, outperforming MLP and generic attention
baselines while remaining nearly collisionfree. Finally, we demonstrate successful
sim-to-real transfer by deploying the simulation-trained agent on a physical Franka
Emika Panda manipulator.

text: Heart rate variability biofeedback has emerged as a validated intervention
for stress management and emotional regulation through coherence breathing techniques.
Existing biofeedback systems typically present cardiac and respiratory signals
as separate feedback channels or rely on discrete interface elements that fragment
attention and disrupt immersion. We present a design framework that extends Viscereality,
a bioresponsive VR framework originally developed for breath mapping, to integrate
multi-channel biofeedback including heart rate within immersive VR, centered on
a particle-based environment that functions as a spatial body-mapping interface.
By leveraging bioresponsive breath interactions for embodiment and weak representational
aesthetics for cardiac coherence, the framework aims to encode both streams within
a shared visual substrate, reducing the attentional task-switching and experiential
fragmentation that multi-channel displays otherwise risk. The system translates
lung volume into spatial expansion and contraction of the environment itself,
maps cardiac coherence onto affective visual dimensions (angularity, brightness,
saturation, symmetry), and embeds breathing guidance within the same geometric
substrate. We present the design rationale and implementation of this framework,
with empirical validation of its effectiveness to be conducted in future studies.

text: " Introduction - \r\n Chronic heart
failure (CHF) affects millions and burdens health systems through high morbidity
and mortality. Guidelines emphasise the need for self‐management. Yet the specific
strategies patients use to perceive, appraise, and respond to symptoms remain
insufficiently described. Symptom management is a core component of self‐management
and directly shapes illness trajectories and quality of life.\r\n
\r\n Objectives - \r\n To identify and
map behaviours and strategies of adults with CHF to manage symptoms in daily life.\r\n
\
\r\n Methods - \r\n We
conducted a scoping review of MEDLINE (PubMed), CINAHL (EBSCOhost), Livivo and
Cochrane Library (2006–2024). Data were analysed using Mayring's qualitative content
analysis. Categories were derived deductively from heart failure guidelines and
Dodd's Symptom Management Model and inductively from included studies. The category
system was aligned with Dodd's Symptom Management Model, which guided the structuring
of findings into symptom experience, management strategies, and outcomes.\r\n
\
\r\n Results - \r\n Thirty‐one
reports (qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods) met the inclusion criteria.
Patients deploy diverse strategies across five domains: medication management,
symptom monitoring, adjustment of daily activities, fluid and weight management,
and lifestyle modification. Social support is pivotal. Many patients deviate from
recommendations to balance demands, gaining short‐term relief at the potential
expense of long‐term control. Such deviations function as pragmatic coping and
indicate unmet information and structural needs.\r\n
\r\n
\ Discussion - \r\n Patients’ behaviours
are integral to symptom management and should inform context‐sensitive professional
support and care. Involving family members and utilising digital tools could enhance
monitoring, decision‐making, and quality of life. Future work should apply Dodd's
Symptom Management Model to clarify links between symptom experience, strategies,
and outcomes and to develop approaches feasible and compatible with daily life.\r\n
\
\r\n Patient or Public Contribution
- \r\n After completing the core scoping review work, we conducted
a PPIE session with a person living with heart failure (NYHA III) to validate
the category system, the presentation of results, and practice implications. The
feedback enhanced interpretability (micro‐level strategies) and supported a destigmatising
view of non‐recommended behaviours.\r\n "

text: " Zusammenfassung - \r\n Onlineberatung

text: " Abstract - \r\n Online counselling has
become increasingly important in social work, particularly since the onset of
the Coronavirus pandemic. While location-independent counselling formats can be
used by those seeking advice at home, at work or on the go, stationary online
counselling in publicly accessible locations or social and healthcare facilities
has received little attention to date despite its potential. This article compares
the opportunities and risks of fixed-location online counselling with location-independent
formats, outlines possibilities for institutional embedding and discusses the
challenges involved. Rather than presenting a finished model, we present our ideas
in a cursory manner to achieve the broadest possible compatibility for further
investigations by others.\r\n "

text: " This tutorial provides a comprehensive and intuitive journey
through the evolution of deep generative models, tracing a clear path from the
foundations of Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to modern Variational Autoencoders
(VAEs), showing how each method solves the limitations of the previous one. We
begin with PCA, a linear tool for reducing data dimensions. Its inability to model
non-linear patterns motivates the use of Autoencoders (AEs), which use neural
networks to learn flexible, compressed representations. However, AEs lack a probabilistic
framework, preventing them from generating new data. VAEs address this by treating
the latent space as a probability distribution, enabling data generation. We compare
the three methods through theoretical analysis, experiments, and step-by-step
numerical examples that show exactly how each model compresses data—a detail often
missing elsewhere. Unlike resources that treat these topics separately, we connect
them into a single narrative, building intuition progressively from linear to
probabilistic deep generative models.\r\n "

text: Current simulation workflows overwhelmingly rely on idealized or implicit
microstructures, which prevents true side‑by‑side comparison with experiments
and slows methodological progress. Directly simulating experimentally identical
samples—using atomistic and continuum models—is a critical yet largely unrealized
step toward predictive, microstructure‑aware materials discovery. In this work,
we introduce MultiBEST, a unified GUI‑based framework that constructs experimentally
faithful atomistic and continuum models directly from 2D micrographs, EBSD data,
or simple user sketches. The resulting continuum representations explicitly resolve
grain boundaries as crystallography‑aware volumetric interfaces with distinct
properties, enabling multiscale modelling that approaches atomistic‑level fidelity.
MultiBEST delivers an end‑to‑end pipeline—from image processing to final model
export—with tunable computational cost, from rapid prototyping to large‑scale
simulations.

text: Material discovery using traditional experimental methods is a slow and costly
process, often limited by the sampling process, characterization condition constraints,
and the requirement for expensive equipment. While computational tools have transformed
materials research by accelerating the investigation of material properties, a
significant gap remains in connecting high-fidelity simulations with established
experimental characterization techniques. Virtual Characterization Lab (VCL),
a unified, open-source toolkit designed to bridge this gap. The VCL streamlines
pre- and post-processing workflows—primarily designed for, but not limited to,
molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. It enables researchers to analyze crystallography
and generate essential characterization data, including X-ray Diffraction (XRD),
Selected Area Electron Diffraction (SAED), Vibrational Density of States (VDOS),
and Infrared (IR) spectra, all within a single, intuitive graphical user interface
(GUI). By integrating every step from initial structure preparation to final data
visualization, the VCL accelerates materials discovery by making virtual characterization
more efficient, accessible, and directly comparable to experimental results.

(fully anechoic room - FAR) [1]. Dazu\r\nerfolgen Messungen: (a) in der Ebene
