This paper presents an interactive, web-based platform that enables side-by-side visual comparison of multiple neural network segmentation models applied to identical images. The system integrates three transformer-based segmentation models: a face-parsing network producing 19 semantic classes, a SegFormer-B3 clothing segmentation model with 18 classes, and a Mask2Former model for general-purpose scene segmentation spanning 150 ADE20K categories. Key contributions include side-by-side evaluation of model outputs across multiple architectures and image categories, with real-time segment highlighting and a scalable inference caching system that enables model comparisons without requiring repeated graphics processing unit (GPU) computation. The platform organizes a curated dataset of images under a hierarchical category taxonomy, supporting structured evaluation across demographic and contextual variables. As a practical use case, the system is applied within the ADRIAN project to assist in verifying identity consistency across images through segmentation-based analysis. The platform thus contributes a specialized artificial intelligence (AI) tool for systematic segmentation and object detection model evaluation within media analysis pipelines, where selecting appropriate models is a recurring challenge across tasks from identity verification to content moderation. Strengthening researcher skills in this area requires a clear understanding of existing training provision. This study presents findings from the Horizon Europe project PATTERN, which mapped and assessed Open RRI training resources across Europe.\r\n\r\nMethods: A mixed-methods approach was applied, combining desk research, surveys, semi-structured interviews, data workshops, and mutual learning events. In total, 571 training resources were identified and analysed across eight skill areas: Open Access; FAIR Data; Citizen Science; Research Integrity; Gender, Non-discrimination, and Inclusion; Dissemination and Exploitation; Science Communication; and Management and Leadership. A subset of resources was further evaluated using defined quality criteria.\r\n\r\nResults: The mapping reveals a fragmented and uneven training landscape, with a strong predominance of introductory-level resources and limited provision for intermediate and advanced learners. Training is often generic and lacks contextualisation, with gaps in inclusivity, multilingual provision, and local adaptation. Quality assessment highlights strengths such as modular design, open licensing, and the use of active learning approaches. However, recurring challenges include limited accessibility, unclear pathways for reuse, and difficulties in implementation and long-term sustainability. Key thematic gaps include intersectionality, policy engagement, supervision ethics, and the integration of indigenous and local knowledge.\r\n\r\nConclusions: Despite growing availability of training resources, significant gaps remain in scope, depth, and inclusivity. Current semantic type detection approachesrequire massive labeled datasets making themimpractical for resource-constrained SMEs. Wepropose a zero-shot hybrid framework combiningpattern-based classification with selective largelanguage model (LLM) reasoning formanufacturing-specific data types. The two-stagearchitecture uses rule-based patterns for high-confidence cases, forwarding ambiguous columnsto a multi-step LLM reasoner. Evaluation on fourmanufacturing datasets shows the hybrid approachachieves weighted F1 within 7 24 percentagepoints of pure LLM classification performancewhile reducing LLM invocations by 39% onaverage. Hybride Interaktionssysteme kombinieren digitale Technologien und persönliche Betreuung, um Versorgungslücken zu schließen.\r\nZiel\r\n\r\nDie Studie analysiert Anforderungen, Potenziale und Hürden bei der Nutzung hybrider Systeme aus Sicht von Patient*innen und medizinischen Fachkräften.\r\nMethode\r\n\r\nIm Rahmen der HIS4DiaPedes-Studie wurden Online-Befragungen (n = 69) und qualitative Interviews (n = 45) mit Patient*innen und Fachkräften durchgeführt. Die quantitative Analyse erfolgte deskriptiv mit SPSS, die qualitative inhaltsanalytisch nach Mayring mit MAXQDA.\r\nErgebnisse\r\n\r\nSowohl von medizinischen Fachkräften, als auch von Patient*innen werden sich Echtzeitdaten, individualisierbare Warnfunktionen, eine zentrale Plattform zur Datenerfassung, einfache Kommunikationswege und transparente Datenschutzlösungen gewünscht. Herausforderungen bestehen insbesondere bei älteren Patient*innen sowie in der technischen Infrastruktur.\r\nSchlussfolgerung\r\n\r\nHybride Interaktionssysteme erscheinen als potenziell geeignete Ergänzung der Diabetesversorgung, wenn diese benutzerfreundlich, anpassbar und datenschutzkonform gestaltet sind. Hybrid interaction systems combine digital technologies and personal care to close gaps in care.\r\nObjective\r\n\r\nThe study analyzes requirements, potentials, and barriers to the use of hybrid systems from the perspective of patients and healthcare professionals.\r\nMethods\r\n\r\nAs part of the HIS4DiaPedes study, online surveys (n = 69) and qualitative interviews (n = 45) were conducted with patients and professionals.
