--- res: bibo_abstract: - During electrospinning, the flying nanofibers can be attracted by conductive areas such as copper tape on a nonconductive substrate, especially in case of magnetic nanofibers. The question arises, however, whether the conductivity or any other physical properties of these areas are responsible for this effect. Here, electrospinning polyacrylonitrile (PAN) on nonconductive polypropylene (PP) substrates is reported, modified with conductive copper tape as well as with diverse coatings with varying dielectric constants. The results show that in case of non-magnetic PAN fibers, especially BaTiO3 with its high dielectric constant strongly, attracts the fibers formed during electrospinning, which can be explained by local modification of the electric field due to the introduced dielectric. This process can be used to tailor the nanofiber mat thickness depending on the position.@eng bibo_authorlist: - foaf_Person: foaf_givenName: Christian foaf_name: Hellert, Christian foaf_surname: Hellert foaf_workInfoHomepage: http://www.librecat.org/personId=221135 - foaf_Person: foaf_givenName: Jan Lukas foaf_name: Storck, Jan Lukas foaf_surname: Storck foaf_workInfoHomepage: http://www.librecat.org/personId=221157 orcid: 0000-0002-6841-8791 orcid_put_code_url: https://api.orcid.org/v2.0/0000-0002-6841-8791/work/95040589 - foaf_Person: foaf_givenName: Timo foaf_name: Grothe, Timo foaf_surname: Grothe foaf_workInfoHomepage: http://www.librecat.org/personId=221330 orcid: 0000-0002-9099-4277 orcid_put_code_url: https://api.orcid.org/v2.0/0000-0002-9099-4277/work/95040590 - foaf_Person: foaf_givenName: Bernhard foaf_name: Kaltschmidt, Bernhard foaf_surname: Kaltschmidt - foaf_Person: foaf_givenName: Andreas foaf_name: Hütten, Andreas foaf_surname: Hütten - foaf_Person: foaf_givenName: Andrea foaf_name: Ehrmann, Andrea foaf_surname: Ehrmann foaf_workInfoHomepage: http://www.librecat.org/personId=223776 orcid: 0000-0003-0695-3905 orcid_put_code_url: https://api.orcid.org/v2.0/0000-0003-0695-3905/work/95040591 bibo_doi: 10.1002/masy.202000213 bibo_issue: '1' bibo_volume: 395 dct_date: 2021^xs_gYear dct_isPartOf: - http://id.crossref.org/issn/1022-1360 - http://id.crossref.org/issn/1521-3900 dct_language: eng dct_publisher: Wiley@ dct_title: Positioning and Aligning Electrospun PAN Fibers by Conductive and Dielectric Substrate Patterns@ ...
