[Ausblenden]1 What is flashcard training?
Flashcard training allows users to practise and test their knowledge of a term’s definition. The terms and definitions are drawn from the glossaries in ILIAS.
2 How do I create a flashcard exercise?
Note: First, a glossary must be available.
- Select the glossary in which you wish to use the flashcard training.
- Click on the |Edit View| tab.
- Click on the |Settings| tab there.
- Under the “Display” section, you will find “Flashcards Training”. Tick the box next to it.
- Select the mode you wish to use for your study session: ‘Term vs. Definition’ or ‘Definition vs. Term’.
- Click [Save].
3 Start flashcard training
- In the glossary, in presentation view, click on the |Flashcards| tab.
- All terms are listed at the beginning in Section 1.
- Select the subject you would like to practise.
- Depending on the glossary mode selected, either the term is displayed and the definition is hidden, or vice versa.
- To check their answers, learners can display the hidden definition.
- When learners click on [I knew that], the flashcard moves one subject further along, from ‘Subject 1’ to ‘Subject 5’.
- If learners click on [I didn’t know], the flashcards are moved back to the start folder.
