My application was rejected due to the minimum grade requirement. Why is that?

In Germany, the grading system is reversed compared to most other countries: 1.0 is the best grade, whereas 4.0 is the worst passing grade. If the minimum grade required is 2.5, it means your bachelor’s degree grade must be between 1.0 and 2.5 in the German grading system in order to apply to the programme. Unfortunately, grades lower than 2.5 do not meet the minimum requirement.
