Can you issue a Late Arrival Letter?

If you do not manage to arrive at your study location in time for the start of your studies and you have to start your studies later – e.g. due to delays in the visa process – a delayed start of studies will not cause any problems in most cases. Please make sure to speak with your faculty/programme director if you arrive late.

HSBI will not issue a “Late Arrival Letter” or a similar document as a precautionary measure. Your admissions letter will include a note for German diplomatic missions abroad stating that it will have no negative effects on your enrolment at the university if you arrive after the beginning of the semester. 

In exceptional cases, embassies may request evidence concerning other topics, such as the standard duration of study, attendance-based studies or language certificates. In such cases, please contact admission@hsbi.de.
