Dear students,

Studying is an exciting stage of life in which you gain a lot of new experiences but may also encounter upheavals. You can always contact us if you have any questions or need support.

We act independently of the faculties and examination offices and offer you a confidential setting for both study-related too other issues.

Our counselling service may include, e.g., the following:

• Planning of learning and learning support
• Motivation
• How to deal with the 3rd examination attempt
• Exhaustion
• Stress or overburdening during your studies
• Exam nerves
• Anxieties or uncertainties
• Lack of motivation or procrastination
• Doubts (concerning your studies)
• Support during the end phase of your studies

Principles of Counselling

A consultation usually lasts 45 minutes. We can make several follow-up appointments, if applicable. Consultations can take place in person, by telephone or digitally, according to your needs. We offer personal consultations at the Bielefeld and Minden locations.

We do not provide psychotherapy as part of psychosocial counselling and coaching consultations. But we will be happy to assist you in finding a therapy place.

Our counselling is free of charge, subject to confidentiality and based on the following principles:

Workshops

Besides individual counselling, we offer competence trainings and skills at lunchtime to support your academic success.

You are welcome to contact us with any issues you may have. Please make an individual advising appointment. Counselling is free of charge. You can seek advice at the Bielefeld and Minden locations.
