Hochschule Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts
The Data Processing Centre provides multi-function devices for printing, copying and scanning at all locations. You can use them with your CampusCard.
Students get a free quota for printouts per semester. This quota is equivalent to 125 A4 copies or A4 prints in black and white or 50 pages in colour. It will be deposited automatically on the CampusCard and renewed at the beginning of each new semester. Please note that the free quota is independent of the Student Service organisation credit deposited on the CampusCard and cannot be transferred to a new semester. Once the free quota is used up, students will not be able to produce additional printouts in the ongoing semester. However, scans are free of charge and available independently of the free quota. Should misprints occur accidentally, the job can be reversed accordingly. Please request the reset at the IT ServiceDesk.
The current prices for prints on standard paper (white, 80 g/m²) are:
We use PaperCut software for printing. You can either initiate print orders digitally via the PaperCut portal, on-site on any multifunction device or from any PC at the university providing the print service. Besides current print jobs, the PaperCut portal also provides an overview of upcoming bookings and your free quota. To access the queue of print orders and the free quota, you must log in on PCs or the PaperCut portal with your HSBI credentials. You can approve print orders and receive the printouts at any public multifunction device at HSBI, using your CampusCard.
You can use the “online printing” feature to send documents in PDF, JPG and common office formats from mobile devices to the multi-function devices through a web application. Please use your university login to access the web application. The web application also offers the following functions:
The multifunction devices are available at every location in the university library and the learners’ lab in HSBI’s main building in Bielefeld. Please find an overview here:
