The ecosystems of the Black Sea coast are extremely valuable for the Ukrainian economy and require post-war restoration, as their ecosystem services provide biological diversity, conditions for people's life and recreation, and have the potential to grow the region's blue economy. It is planned to discuss the issue of assessing the restoration of ecosystem assets of the Black Sea coast of Ukraine using the example of beach ecosystems and artificial green spaces and consider the value chain using the example of processing storm discharges into socially useful products. Therefore, our goal is to hold a discussion on methods for assessing ecosystem services and exchange ideas and experience in assessing the value of ecosystem services of coastal areas.

Larysa Nekrasenko is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics, Marketing, and Business Administration at the National Transport University in Kyiv. She holds a degree in biology and economics. Drawing on this interdisciplinary background, her research concentrates on natural resource management and sustainable development.

Target group: Researchers and students interested in sustainability management.
