As the Scholars at Risk Network marks its 25th anniversary, this event invites participants to reflect on the importance of academic freedom in an increasingly uncertain global climate.
Judith Peltz, HSBI's Vice President International Afairs, is going to explore why academic freedom matters today, introduce the mission and work of Scholars at Risk and highlight ways individuals and institutions can offer support. The session will also present how HSBI is actively engaged in this global network.
In addition, Nadiia Kabachenko, Associate Professor at the School of Social Work at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, will report about the current situation of researchers in Ukraine.
Join us in celebrating a strong, collaborative movement committed to protecting scholars and advancing the freedom to think, question, and share knowledge worldwide.
