Hochschule Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts
HSBI’s research profile is oriented towards the global social challenges of the future. We focus on the fields of climate, communication, energy, health and mobility.
Our research activities take place in institutes, research networks and individually. It supports outstanding research of individual researchers.
Early stage researchers are qualified through cooperative doctorates and graduate schools.
A close network of representatives from research, industry and society is of utmost importance for regional development. Together with our partners in business, industry and the third sector we work to create an environment in which all participants may benefit from knowledge and technology transfer. With this goal in mind, our professors and researchers aim at combining practical experience and scientific research, especially with regard to the education of our students. This allows our students to benefit from research-led teaching and practical experience at an early stage in their studies.
Scientific Further Education builds on undergraduate studies and subsequent professional experience and supports lifelong learning. Our further education portfolio ranges from individual events to MA degrees and is continuously being developed.
