Online Service Portals (LSF/CAT)

You can take care of many matters relating to your studies at HSBI digitally through our online service portals. Please find below an overview of which functions are available in which portal. If you do not find the request you would like to make there, please have a look under Anträge einreichen [German] or contact the Registrar’s and Examination Office.

What is LSF?

LSF stands for Lehre, Studium, Forschung (teaching, studies and research). LSF allows you to manage your examination matters. Among others, you can access the following functions:

 

The following functions apply to every faculty:

  • Viewing timetables and course catalogues
  • Downloading the receipts for fees and contributions paid up to and including the winter semester 2022/23 and old enrolment certificates up to and including the summer semester 2022

 

The following functions apply to the Faculty of Engineering and Mathematics, Bielefeld School of Business, Faculty of Health, Faculty of Minden Campus and Social Sciences:

  • Registering and cancelling registration for examinations
  • Viewing grades
  • Printing out transcripts for your own documents
  • Information on registration and examination periods

What is CAT?

CAT stands for Campus Assistant. This online portal allows you to manage all application and student matters. Among others, you can access the following functions:

 

The following functions apply to every faculty:

  • Submitting applications for study programmes at HSBI
  • Downloading certificates (e.g. enrolment certificates, confirmations of the periods of study and form no. 2 for the BAföG Office as well as pension and deregistration certificates from winter semester 2022/23 onwards, receipts for fees and contributions paid from summer semester 2023 onwards)
  • Viewing information on re-registration and contributions
  • Submitting requests online (e.g. leave of absence, deregistration, reimbursement of fees, name changes/changes to personal data)
  • Independently changing addresses and contact details

 

The following functions apply to the Faculty of Design and Art:

  • Registering and cancelling registration for examinations
  • Viewing grades
  • Printing out transcripts for your own documents
  • Information on registration and examination periods
